On 9 May 2016, the State Council issued Several Opinions on Promoting the Stabilization and Recovery of Foreign Trade (Opinions). In the Opinions, the State Council proposes 14 measures to stabilize foreign trade. The last time the State Council issued opinions on this topic was in 2014.
The Opinions suggest multiple measures, including but not limited to: adjusting the export tax rebate rate structure; improving the import policy; reducing and regulating charges for companies, and; encouraging financial institutions to lend to foreign companies.
