For its 50th anniversary, DELSOL Avocats opens an office at 480, avenue Louise, marking a new step in the firm’s development.
DELSOL Avocats assists clients daily with their international issues, whether they are French and developing projects abroad, or international with operations in Europe. The Firm was therefore keen to expand into Belgium, in order to provide an increasingly specialised and quality service to both international clients, and to our Belgian and French clients.
Sébastien Popijn is thus joining DELSOL Avocats as Partner in charge of the “Mergers & Acquisitions – Corporate Law” department at the Belgian office.
Sébastien, who is joining us from CEW & Partners (2017-2023), advises clients in industry, services, energy, transport and leisure, in the context of transnational and national acquisitions/divestments, restructuring transactions (mergers, demergers, spin-offs, liquidations, business transfers), business partnerships and shareholder relations.
He also advises several airlines on their relations with passengers, local authorities and commercial partners.
He is supported by David Lohisse, counsel, who heads up the Belgian office’s “Employment Law – Social Welfare Law” department and “Personal Data” department.
David has extensive experience in individual and collective labour disputes, due diligence on employment law issues, optimising compensation, workplace wellness legislation and criminal employment law.
Marine Randoux, an associate in the “Mergers & Acquisitions - Corporate Law” and “Aviation Law” departments, and Alisan Cavdarli, an associate in the “Mergers & Acquisitions - Corporate Law” department, are also based at the Brussels office. Catherine Desmet and Amandine Felder work alongside them as legal assistants.
Charles Price will join the office in January 2024 as Of Counsel, bringing 40 years of experience in arbitration, cross-border transactions and competition law.
“We regard Brussels as the centre of Europe, so it seemed right to us to be there with an internationally-minded team who share our values,” explain Henri-Louis Delsol and Emmanuel Kaeppelin, Managing Partners of DELSOL Avocats.
“We are delighted to be joining the DELSOL Avocats adventure and bringing our skills, energy and market knowledge to the firm,” adds Sébastien Popijn.
