Denia Ellul - Partner
Dr Denia Ellul joined FFF Legal as an Associate Lawyer in 2017. She attended the University of Malta and completed a Bachelor of Laws degree, followed by a Doctor of Laws degree in 2014.
Eventually, Denia started working with a local law firm, which helped her gain the necessary knowledge in corporate law, commercial law, cross-border tax planning and financial-legal matters. She also obtained a Professional Certificate in Taxation from the Malta Institute of Taxation, solidifying her foundations in domestic and international taxation.
Denia furthered her legal studies at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, where she read for a Master's in International Trade and Investment.
Denia’s main practice areas include corporate and trusts law, financial services and alternative dispute resolution.
Christian Farrugia - Partner
Dr Christian Farrugia is a co-founding partner of the Firm. He studied law at the University of Malta, leading to the conferment on him of a doctorate degree in 1986. He went on to further his post-graduate studies at University College London, obtaining a master’s degree in Maritime & Insurance Law from that prestigious institution a year later.
Upon returning to Malta in 1988, he joined a legal firm set up by his late father and practised civil and commercial law and litigation for several years. In 1995, he started the firm’s international practice, supporting a diversity of international investors drawn to Malta not solely for its attractive legal and tax system but, more particularly, for its stability and business-friendly approach to long-term investment.
In 2009, Christian merged his legal practice with other practitioners to establish Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal (the Firm’s former name). The Firm has since grown from modest beginnings to a well-oiled and trusted professional organisation which counts several top-tier corporates and private individuals within its client portfolio.
